Australian sailing legend Frank Bethwaite passed away on the weekend at age 92. Frank was the founder of Bethwaite Design which is successfully run by his son Julian today. I was fortunate to know and race against Frank in Tasars which he designed. I was also honoured to have Frank ask me to write some speed tips for him on how to sail a Tasar fast. I must have edited that article ten times before I was confident enough to send it to Frank! Sincere condolences to Frank and Nel’s talented children Mark, Julian and Nicky.
