The William Angliss Victorian Schools Team Championship was sailed off St.Kilda over Friday and Saturday 28/29 March 2014. There were 28 schools with many schools fielding multiple teams. The overall winners after five years of close results was St.Leonards who won a close and hard fought final race battle with relative new comers Scotch College. Peninsula Grammar was third with Brighton Grammar fourth. The APS Trophy and the John Middleton Saturday series award was also won by Scotch College who had a successful weekend with their second team finishing second overall to Belmont College. The St. Leonards team was well led by 29er sailor Gemma Burns and coached by Ben Gunther and James Sly. Scotch was led by Ben Hartnett and Mac Hey both Laser Radial sailors and coached by 470 sailor Will Llewelyn.
The leading teams will now prepare for the Australian Championships to be sailed in Sydney in July 2014.
