The Europe is a single-handed racing dinghy sailed throughout the world. Designed in Belgium in 1960 by Alois Roland, the Europe is often called the small Finn because of the two boats similarity of design, both being one-man centerboards with many controls.

The Europe evolved from the Europe moth and the class is an ideal craft for youth moving their way up through the junior classes reaching its peak at the Athens Olympics in 2004. However today its role has been taken over mostly by the Laser 4.7 and Laser Radial classes in terms of popularity.
