A CLASS CATAMARAN

20

The A class catamaran has been around since the early 1960\’s and has undergone a steady evolution since. With the exception of a few measurement restrictions, class designs are pretty much “anything goes”. The A class has a loyal following and sees sailors from 18-80 still racing them. Glenn Ashby has probably done more for the A Class than any other sailor in recent times and this has seen world class sailors such as Dean Barker, Tom Slingsby and others join the A Class Nationals. The A Class is also the preferred boat of 2011 Australian of The Year Simon McKeown.
